ALRIGHT PEOPLE ~~ !!! long time since i blogged LOL ~~ ok well for these few days we have been REALLY REALLY SUPER ULTRA BUSY ~~ !! as we are approaching our leaving date, it seems so sad and also so busy at the same time .... (TooT) cos we learned lots of things here and today we handed in one of our major projects PUBLIC FACILITIES DESIGN..... the teacher was a great guy ~~ learned alot ... AND ~~~ now we are currently moving to the last week of our ThinkDesign software training ~~ will post on sunday ~~ and also starting our CorelDraw lessons too at the same time ~~~ AND ~~ have to do marker rendering and sketching for our Design Visualization classes ~~ well i will post the pictures on this module later on ~~ well thats all for these few days update ~~ WELL I KNOW ~~ sounds boring but what to do yea (^oo^) we are here to study not enjoy till we drop ~~~ OK THATS ALL AND MATA NE ~~

New software - THINK Design

Today, we arranged with our hostel mates to have dinner together since we are going back already so it was something like a mini-farewell gathering for all our friends at the China's Takashimaya.

There was this dish that used an entire chicken including its feets and head and we realised there were people who actually enjoy eating these parts as you can see below.

The dinner was very sumptous. About 10-12 dishes so everyone had their fill. The guys also drank alot of beer. The 5 of us drank a total of about 10 bottles which averages up to 2 bottles each? Beer is really cheap here as well.

After dinner, we walked around town to digest the food and went to the arcade nearby. Its like 10cents sing dollar per token. WOO. Played like crazy and we are so going back. (Or at least I am.)

The plan today was to go to the supermarket and buy stuff to cook for dinner. So we went to the China's version of GIANT - AUCHAN. Took a bus there for like 20cents sing dollar. Went to the chinese dumpling fast food outlet called "Da Niang Jiao Zi" Yeah, it means big mother dumpling. It's motto is "Dumpling is for China, Da Niang is for the World." totally ROFL.

Invited some of our hostel mates over to share the food with us cause we cooked alot of stuff and a total of 2 Koreans and 2 Japanese joined us!

HELLO ~~ ok people firstly sorry for the late blogging yea cos have been really busy with assignments and practices ~~ ALRIGHT ~ ! now i shall start off this post with our lessons on Cinema 4D~~ well this program after a few introduction by the lecturer, it is quite smiliar to 3Dmax personally i find that it is alittle better as the user interface exceeds the flow of 3dmax. And also, it includes Vray and stuff so its rendering is also nice and also it can model too so it is a program u should check it out yea :)

Next it would be our Public Facilities Design~~ well this time we have already settled on our final idea and we will be doing CAD soon and each of us would be doing different things so remember to check on our blog yea :) and btw next week would be the last lesson on Public Facilities Design ~~~ haha ok la the lecturer is really good and he showed some of his works and all were quite impressive yea :) OK thats all for this post and sorry that i cant post up any work of our assignments as i haven't install Cinema 4D in my computer :( so i would upload some example up soon yea :) kk BB and cya guys in 5 weeks time :)

HELLO ~~ !! alright another post ~~ !! ok for these 2 days well we had quite a busy and fun weekend yea :) erm firstly we had our own activities and as for me well i went out with some china friends which i got to know here and we had a trip to some of the scenic spots here in Wuxi by BICYCLE ~~ !! haha we had a great ride there and also we did alot of stuff ... fly kite , picnic etc. And as for connie and lincoln well they had a great time with our korean hostel mates as they had a cooking session together :) so coming here to china really let us broaden our network circle and as well as our EQ yea :)

And as for the 45th day ..... well today was nothing much as it was a RAINY day (TooT) but well we had some assignments on hand which we need to do such as Public Facilities Design as now we are on our final concept phase already :) so we will be posting up our work soon yea :) ALRIGHT ~~ thats all for today and so see you guys in about 5 weeks time yea :) MATA NE ~~ !!

HEY PEOPLE ~~~ back again with another post on our daily lives yea ~~ well we know that this may sounds boring cause it is all about work but lets not forget our purpose to be here ok :>
ALRIGHT ~~ well this is another post on our rhino lessons this time we learned a handful of useful tools in rhino such as loft, project curve to surface etc. so by applying what we know from the previous lessons, we learn how to model out the dustbin you on the bottom and also we learn how to offset curve and more extrusion work done on the case u see below ~~~ well I am sorry that we do not have the time to post a tutorial up but however if you all have any questions feel free ask us alright :>

Well this lesson consist alot on theory and emphasis on what is a good public design ? well from the lesson we learned various "systems" which we can break down public facilities and define them. This morning, it rain again so we walk to our classroom instead of cycling. It was our 2nd lesson which is also our last lesson for design psychology. In this lesson we learnt a lot of things and the most interested is 通感 (synesthesia). We are asked to do an assignment at the end of the lesson by expressing our feeling through drawing, color and words after listen to the music. After the lesson, we have our lunch at the nearby canteen.

Hi, nothing much happened today, was so tired yesterday that we decided to stay in today and rest. Went for brunch at the canteen near us, bought water and then rested till dinner time then we made our way to the restaurant in campus for dinner and came back to rest again. This will tell you that if you want to tour china, you better prepare rest days from all the walking. There's a reason why they are so big you know.

Today, we made plans to go to another tourist attraction since the weather has been good these few days and our destination today is none other than: Three Romance Kingdom, Water Margin Kingdom and Tang Dynasty! Personally, I love these places because I like the past where we had emperors. COOL or! =D

These 3 cities are actually the actual film grounds for the various ancient chinese drama so when we went in, we found many things very famaliar, like the palace and everything. of course, this is the scaled down version compared to what you see on tv. (the ower of visual effects)

We had alot of fun touring the place and looking at ancient stuff, we really felt like we were living in the past. It was kinda cool. Oh, we also went on board the Warship for a tour of the lake and onboard the ship, they had some wierd performances. LOL. Very china-ish stuff. It was like a mini-themepark inside with many things to play like horse-riding, naval training obstacle course, viking, archery, crossbow challenge, eight-diagram maze and even bumpercars!

Day 19 marks anothe boring day in the hostel for us, slept till lunch hour then woke up for lunch and made our to the business street (where all the shops are) and fixed connie's bicycle which has a really deformed wheel. Went to buy DVDs to satisfy our boredom again and at night we decided to order BBQ delivery. =D

If the weather tomorrow is good, we are going sight seeing again!

Weather here are unpredictable:( sometime cold and sometime hot. Dunnoe when to wear more and when to wear less. Due to the freezing cold weather today, we did not go out. The cold weather should still be lasting for a week bah. Baically, we did nothing today but keep watching DVD that we have brought. DVD day for us today, because DVD here is very cheap and is also a good resolution to kill time.

HELLO PEOPLE ~~ !

Today it is a B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L morning so we are going to town yea ~~ !!
We are going to show u the luxurious side of Wuxi which you will never expect.
I believe that all of you think that over here the things should all be like not branded and
lots of imitations right ?? ~~ !! Well thats partly true though .... hahah but this does not goes
for 八百伴购物尚场 ~~ !!

In the 八百伴购物尚场 we saw lots of international brands ..... and as poor students we still can't afford it ,,,,, there are Louis Vuitton, Clarks, Geox, Armani Exchange (one shirt cost 3.3k rmb .. ), Swarovski, Mont Blanc etc. look at this brands ..... do you dare say that you can find no civilisation here ....

Also we proceed to a few restuarants for our BRUNCH and dinner ..... I am telling you ... the food was outrageously TASTY ~~~

Lunch - DIM SUM well both thumbs up ~~~ for the price of like eating at kfc for one person, we get genuine Hong Kong Dim Sum.

Dinner - Shanghai Cuisine @ The Grandma's ~~ well this place is a MUST GO ~~ !! We ate so many dishes and guess the price .... 57 RMB .... well considering the lavish furnishing which brings back a remincising OLD SHANGHAI element ... it is absolutely GORGEOUS and the food ... wat more can i say ... both thumbs and toes WAY UP ~~ Its food variety was impressive and the taste is OUT OF THIS WORLD ~~ !!!

10th DAY

Today, we went to AuChan (Our fav hangout) for brunch at Papa John Pizza. Its very nice! But the price is a little steep for China as well (still cheaper than pizza hut in singapore and its much better). Because of the steep pricing, there wasnt much people there, GOOD! That's the way we like it. =D

At night, we went to Shi Tang Jie, opposite our school for dinner and barbeque (Samuel's favourite) and took a mini cab like the tuk-tuk in thailand back to our school (the walking distance is quite long). Posed a few shots with the uncle as well. =D

Day 8 & 9

Day 8 Today it has been raining and we have nowhere to go so we settled for more in-house activities like playing pool and pingpong downstairs, not forgetting to mention working out at the "gym" hahaa.

Day 9

Hello! Today, everyone woke up early except me, as usual and we plan to go to the theme park! Sadly, we learnt from the public that the theme park closed down long ago. Now become something like a garden. Nonetheless, we still made our way there since we had nothing to do anyway. Turns out to be quite a fun place with lots of photogenic pictures. We realised they had 3 or 4 rides still operating there and decided to go for a couple of them - the mirror maze and a haunted shooting adventure. After that, we went for lunch at JUMBO restaurant which is on a ship. It was a cool experience and the food was well, affordable. We were either very hungry or the food was very nice cause everyone, including joanne wanted second servings! I was also telling them, the garden looks like the place where they always film those ancient china movie, like the imperial garden. Then, we realised we could rent costumes to take pictures and being adventurous, we went for the "photoshoot"!

I know everyone out there is laughing their heads off now but it was a great experience, though embarrasing. :/ We also took a speedboat to Xishi's (1 of the 4 beauties of China) house. We were like the only ones on the island which is kinda cool and the speedboat was fun! (Video at the end.) Had dinner at Auchan (our new hangout) and decided on a steamboat.

Seventh Day

wow roti prata ~~ !!! it is actually jiu chai bing .... haha yeah my breakfast and lunch ~~~ !!

Well, some of us prefer to cook some simple meals like instant noodles in these weather, and just a piece of advice..... do not GO OUT when it rains and pours and blow ~~~~~ it is FREEZING COLD and be prepared to get wet ... and carry a strong umbrella by the way ....

Today, is a rainy day. That why we have cancel all our plan (lihu theme park). A boring day for us.

Sixth Day

Today, we went back to our tse-char hangout for some food as the canteen near us is full.

Fifth Day

Woke up for brunch as usual but because we were late, there wasnt anywhere to dine as the canteens are closed so we went to this something like a cafe and had our lunch there.

At night, we met up with connie's friend, DONG FANG, who brought us out of the campus for some good food and at the same time look around the place. It was a good experience to see life in China as you can say the campus was rather modern and limited shopping choices.

They have barbeque like everywhere and its 1RMB per stick. Its nice!

THIS IS SO FUNNY. Samuel thought it was connie's birthday so we went to buy a birthday cake but then it turns out that its not her birthday afterall!

Fourth Day

Its the 4th day! Woke up for BRUNCH again as usual and we went to another canteen, being singaporeans, we went to the stall with the most people and realised its selling what we call tse-char in singapore. The only difference is... THE PRICE! Its SOOOO cheap! Imagine an entire fish for S$2. OWNED.

The food here as rumored to be salty and oily is so very true so we decided to whip up a meal of our own for dinner which is better for our stomach. Went to the supermarket like very very far away from the campus in our newly made friend's (owner of a convenience store we always go to) car. Realised the kitchen had NOTHING and we had to buy EVERYTHING.

We each worked seperately to achieve our goal of getting dinner by 8.

Second Day

Today marks the second day of our stay in china and we are here to update about our living conditions like our hostel and the food here.

Woke up and headed for brunch (breakfast-cum-lunch) at a canteen very very far away. Luckily we bought our bicycles already.

First Day

This is our first day at china, we arrived at Pudong airport with a light heart and start the day off with a good relaxing morning at a cafe, and some of us even doze off it must be the flight I guess :> (JETLAG) Also, we had to wait for 3 hours for the first bus to wuxi, thus we waited patiently no choice haha ....

We had our lunch in airport which was quite alright as they served food which was pretty much still international and most importantly tasty :>

The bus we took was so empty ... but is was a good thing ^oo^
we had a really good nap on the bus and rejuvenate our energy

We had a great lunch and now on our way ~~~！！
Yea we arrived ~~~ !!! But we had to walk alot because we havent got our bikes so too bad so sad ... When we arrived, we take a short tour around the school and settle our admin stuffs under the guidance from 秦久福 classmate :>

We did some daily groceries shopping and ended up buying whole lots. ... and the weather was very cold, as u can see all of us are well covered :> and we went to have our dinner and thats our FIRST DAY :>
